How I get the information and why I have it

Most of the personal information I process is provided to me directly by you during the process of making an enquiry, booking an appointment, and delivering the services you have requested.

 

I do not obtain any information about you from any other sources, only what you provide to me directly.

 

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the lawful basis I rely on for processing this information are:

I have a contractual obligation

  • If you contact me about a hair appointment or book me to do your hair then I have a need to process your personal data to respond to your enquiry or come to your home to do your hair.

I have your consent

  • During your appointment I may ask you to pose for a photograph, which if you give your consent for and pose will be used both for my records of your hair and for promotion on social media and my website. If at any point you are not comfortable or do not consent to this then I will not take the picture, and if you contact me to withdraw consent I will remove any pictures from where I have published them.

I have a legitimate interest

  • If you provide a review or testimonial, I will share this on social media and my website to showcase feedback about my work.

  • If I introduce a new service, I may contact existing customers to promote this to them.

I have a legal obligation

  • I am required by industry regulations and my insurance to process your personal data for the patch test process. This is also in the interests of your health and safety, to avoid any adverse effects.

 

What I do with the information I have

I use the information that you have given me to:

  • Respond to enquires

  • Deliver services

  • Promote by business

 

I do not share this information with any third parties.

 

 

How we store your information

Your digital information is securely stored in reputable cloud systems which are either located within the EU or protected by the EU-US Privacy Shield agreement. Only authorised individuals have access to personal data.

I keep your personal information for a time which is in accordance with my retention policy. I will then dispose your information securely by shredding paper copies and deleting electronic data.

 

Your data protection rights

Under data protection law, you have rights including:

Your right of access - You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information.

Your right to rectification - You have the right to ask us to rectify information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete.

Your right to restriction of processing - You have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your information in certain circumstances.

Your right to object to processing - You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data in certain circumstances.

You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.
