Hi, I'm Nikki. I have been hairdressing since I was sixteen.
I remember my work experience in a local hair salon at the tender age of 14 and knew this is what I wanted to do. But also knew I didn't want to work locally.

I wanted to work in London, so as soon as I could I applied to various salons.
One stood out for me and that was Vidal Sassoon. I was lucky enough to be accepted on to what turned out to be a very intense, tough, but comprehensive course.
​
I completed my level 2 & 3 Diploma and went on to the next level called Staff Training, which took a further 6 months to complete, after which I was fully qualified.
With my training complete I felt very fortunate to be asked to teach at the Vidal Sassoon Academy. I loved my time at the Academy where I made great friends with other teachers and the students, all the time doing what I loved.

After a few years it was time to move on and I was offered a position at a salon in Upminster with another ex Sassoon teacher. I enjoyed 10 years there.
After having my two boys I felt mobile hairdressing was the way forward for me. This meant I could work around my clients and children. The opportunity came to work in a busy London salon again on Saturdays only, which I did in East Finchley for a further two years.

With all that has happened around Covid, I decided to set up a home salon where I lived in Basildon, so I could enjoy more time with my family.
​
Fast forward another 3 years: I moved again and had another baby.
​
First on my to-do list was to create my new work space. Our garage got a lovely new conversion and I was back up and working in no time. I'm so happy with it and can't wait to welcome any new clients who want to pay me a visit.
